Startup VillageOn June 2nd through 3rd, Skolkovo Innovation Center (Russia) hosted Skolkovo Startup Village – the largest start-up conference in Eastern Europe.

The conference summed up the Innovation City’s development progress: Skolkovo Foundation’s Board of Trustees headed by the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev conducted its meeting, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology classes of 2012-2013 had their graduation ceremony, and many other milestone events took place.

The Board of Trustees’ meeting started with a presentation of two panoramic images of Skolkovo. The first was taken in May 2014, the other one – exactly one year later, several days before the Startup Village conference.

“This is a visual proof that the project is moving forward at the right pace", – Skolkovo City Manager Vladimir Lukianov said. “The image taken this year shows that the Big Technopark building is almost finished, and the residential area is close to being complete as well. The construction of Skoltech institute is continuing at an increased pace. I’ll be honest: seeing these panoramic photos fills me with pride for what we’re doing here in Skolkovo".

Skolkovo 2014 - 2015

Currently Skolkovo is a host of numerous buildings, laboratories and the Technopark – one of the Europe’s largest ones, to be opened by the end of the year. Business centers and residential buildings are growing by leaps and bounds.

SIGNY GROUP is making a significant contribution to the development of Skolkovo. We have been developing the detail design for Technopark Phase I Project, in particular the buildings 3A, 3B, 3C, with total area of 92,612 sq.m. This is a design & build project, with ZAO Kompakt being the main contractor.

Another aspect of SIGNY GROUP's cooperation with the Innovation City is the development of project and detail design for the Gallery Business Center to be built soon on the Skolkovo grounds.

Currently we focus heavily on the development of the D2 residential area which will include 7 unique city blocks featuring apartment buildings and townhouses.

“I’ve had a look at the construction progress, including Skoltech Institute, Technopark, the residential areas and other projects. The impression was fairly positive. Most of the projects have already risen about the ground level, some of them are very close to completion. The project has made a good progress over the last year", – Dmitry Medvedev concluded.

Currently Skolkovo is home to 1,100 residents working on their projects which have earned 14 times more that was planned last year – almost 28 billion roubles.

The Innovation City is planned to be completely finished by 2020, but that will not be the end of its development, and we hope that Skolkovo Innovation City will have a lot of new exciting projects in the future for us to work on.
